On behalf of the faculty and staff, welcome to Professional Career Education! We understand the personal reasons why individuals choose to further their education and, as importantly, the sacrifices adult students have to make to achieve their academic and professional goals. As a respected and dedicated educator in the field of educational management and program development, Dr. Christine Rocher Bosworth brings a combination of teaching experience and leadership to Professional Career Education (PCEd).
Dr. Bosworth has taught and inspired students from a wide variety of ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds. She is committed to learner-centered education that fosters a positive e-learning environment, so that the skills and habits learned in the PCEd online classroom will help students achieve their academic and career goals.
Challenging students to problem-solve and effectively communicate the knowledge that resides within their own minds and hearts has earned Dr. Bosworth a host of awards. including being mentioned twice in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Founding Professional Career Education is Dr. Bosworth’s personal and professional lifelong dream. Fueled by her own roots as an immigrant, her mission is to help students gain the skills and confidence to perform well in their chosen profession and, as importantly, to exemplify the American democratic idea that all individuals, regardless of economic disadvantages, be given the opportunity to pursue their unique potential.
Dr. Bosworth earned a Master of Education from Florida Atlantic University and a Doctorate of Education from the University of California, Los Angeles. The topic of her doctoral dissertation was "Coaching Online Students to Persist."

Tom Engell, CPA, MST, CGA
Mr. Engell has over 20 years of experience in the field of income tax and accountancy. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Business Valuation Analyst, and a Certified Financial Planner. Mr. Engell has taught accounting, finance, computer applied accounting and taxation courses and has co-authored a textbook entitled AccPac: Simply for Beginners. Mr. Engell was also the publisher and co-owner of a high profile lifestyle magazine in Los Angeles that he sold in March 2007. He is currently President and Owner of The Rocher Group, Certified Public Accountants.
Jennifer Wadsworth, M.A.
Ms. Wadsworth has an extensive background in education administration and instruction. She specializes in applying learner-centered education to traditional academic subjects that focus on student production, performance and assessment. In her role as department chair at a career college, Ms. Wadsworth successfully brought the General Education department through the accreditation process of self-study, institutional effectiveness and an A.C.I.C.S site inspection. In addition, Ms. Wadsworth authored the recently published grammar guide, Diary of a Grammar Zombie. She has trained hundreds of new and seasoned faculty on the art of teaching. Ms. Wadsworth has developed and facilitated instructional workshops such as Learning-Centered Education; The Art of Questioning; Defending the Learning Environment; Classroom Management; Assessment as a Learning Tool, and Learning Styles. Ms. Wadsworth is currently a fulltime faculty member at a career college in Los Angeles.
Henry D. Finkelstein, J.D.
Mr. Finkelstein has over 25 years of legal experience in real estate and business transactions. He has represented developers, investors and lenders. He has also acted as outside counsel to the Oakland A’s, Costco, and the Los Angeles Coliseum Commission in their negotiations with the NFL. Mr. Finkelstein’s engagements have ranged from center city redevelopment, to the repositioning of suburban shopping centers, to green fields. Other matters he has handled include land use approvals, public financing of regional infrastructure needs, the acquisition and development of environmentally contaminated property, and the negotiation of disposition and development agreements with redevelopment agencies. Mr. Finkelstein has an affinity for both complex financial transactions and working with other stakeholders in the development process. He is currently a partner in a Los Angeles law firm, where he chaired the Real Estate Department.
Yue-Ming Huang, Ed.D, M.H.S.
Dr. Huang is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She is also the Director of Operations at the UCLA Simulation Center. Her educational background consists of a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science from UCLA, a Master of Health Science from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and a Doctorate of Education from UCLA. She also completed a Medical Education Fellowship at UCLA. Dr. Huang’s academic interest lies mainly with utilization of and curricular development and research in simulation technology and other educational methodologies to train healthcare providers. She works in a multidisciplinary simulation training center where expert facilitators, standardized patients, robots, computerized manikins, task trainers, virtual reality, telemedicine, digital audiovisual equipment and multimedia technology come together to provide a realistic experiential learning experience for participants, ultimately producing better-qualified healthcare professionals and improving patient care safety.
Elizabeth Nelson, Ph. D
Dr. Nelson earned her doctorate in Depth Psychology—the psychodynamic tradition including the work of Freud, Adler, Jung, Hillman and mythologists Joseph Campbell, Karl Kerenyi, and their successors - in 2001. Since then, she has expanded her subject area expertise to include humanistic and cognitive - behavior psychology, with an emphasis in neuroscience. At the undergraduate level, Dr. Nelson teaches an introductory course in Western Personality Theory, an upper division seminar joining psychodynamics with cutting edge discoveries about the brain and mind, Philosophy, and Story Writing. At the graduate level, she teaches Research Methodology and Dissertation Development, and chairs several dissertation committees. Dr. Nelson has degrees in Economics, Political Science, and Literature, and 20-plus years of business experience as a writer and editor for clients in technology, health, and finance. Currently, she is a book coach for aspiring authors and conducts seminars on writing and publishing. Dr. Nelson has been on the faculty of the Art Institute of California since 2002 and, in June of 2006, she assumed the role of Faculty Development Director. She has been adjunct faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute since 2001. Some of Dr. Nelson’s recent publications include: The Art of Inquiry: A Depth Psychological Perspective and Conflict as Creative Act: Psyche’s Knife, Separatio, and the Feeling Function.
Leonard Rosenaur
As an entrepreneur and commercial Real Estate broker, Mr. Rosenaur has owned and operated over 100 retail businesses in Los Angeles County. His businesses range from restaurants to gourmet markets. Mr. Rosenaur is a specialist in lease negotiations, building and safety codes, restaurant design and construction, and continues in this capacity within the hospitality industry. Mr. Rosenaur received his accounting degree from the University of Southern California.
Russell Burt, MFA
Interactive Designer Russell Burt has extensive experience combining skills from various disciplines, including video, computer programming, graphic design, and audio. He is also a photographer and videographer and recently released the album Unxpktd. Mr. Burt continues to explore his creative endeavors in music, while developing DVDs, web sites and videos. He is a full-time faculty member in Interactive Media Design at an arts college in Los Angeles. Mr. Burt earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, where he accomplished a dual major in Music Synthesis and Commercial Arranging, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from California Institute of the Arts.

The California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) is the oldest and largest association of private postsecondary schools in California. It is the only statewide association representing California’s schools in Sacramento.
